Insight FS is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with branches all over the state. Insight FS has about 410 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 40,000 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. Insight FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
In the absence of the Convenience Store Manager, supervises and leads all store associates. Assists with recruiting and hiring new employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in resolving customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
Assists store manager to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
Ensures all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, correctly priced, and displayed in a safe manner.
Substitutes for Store Associates as needed.
Maintains quality brand image standards.
In the absence of or at the request of the Convenience Store Manager:
Monitors daily retail gasoline competitors, communicating information to supervisor.
Completes daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as required by management.
Monitors cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.
Enforces all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the store operations.
Implements sales promotions and insures all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the correct time.
Communicates and performs all price change requests, mark downs / ups as requested by the Operations Manager.
Implements and enforces all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.
Enforces all safety and security issues and reports any and all unsafe conditions.
Reports and processes all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
May be required to drive and run local errands as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and some related work experience to demonstrate the ability to generate profitable sales, build repeat customers, and gain share of market.
May be required to achieve and maintain a Sanitation Certificate.
Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions.
May be required to work at varying heights.
Frequently required to lift 21-50 lbs.
Must be of legal age to handle and sell tobacco and alcohol merchandise in the store.
Ability to work hours other than those considered "normal".
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
