ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Construct grain bins, grain handling equipment, material handling equipment and concrete construction.
Responsible for servicing fans and heaters, stirring machines, grain handling equipment, material handling equipment, and post frame building repairs.
Ability to use all necessary equipment to complete projects and instruct crew personnel on the proper use of equipment, including but not limited to:
- Scissor Lift
- Various power and other operating tools
Performs necessary maintenance on trucks and equipment.
Keeps clean and safe job sites.
Assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of the department facility.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Attends company and department meetings and training programs.
Follows the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Assisting in other areas of the company that need help, not exclusive to the Structures Department. Learn other areas of the business that will improve the effectivenss of the employee.
May be required to assist in the agronomy department operating commercial sprayer or floater for the purpose of applying crop inputs to producer field.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Normally requires a high school degree, or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction and leadership skills.
Demonstrated skills in welding, fabricating, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical knowledge and ability to read and interpret wiring schematics.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Prefer CDL license and/or the ability to acquire a CDL license.
Must hold and maintain, or have the ability to obtain, all required pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses or certifications in states where crop production inputs are applied. Responsible for renewing licenses or certifications as required and reporting status of licenses or certifications to the Location Manager.
Continuously exposed or required to:
- Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
- Noisy conditions
- Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
- Work at varying heights
- Confined spaces
- Lift 71-100 lbs.
- Push heavy objects
Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on company policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
