This position will be involved with developing new and improving existing products, product components and competing products for deriving, maintaining, and differentiating induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Job responsibilities will include: maintaining cell cultures, performing experiments, data acquisition, analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting experiments.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and perform experiments with input from supervisor
  • Perform cell culture, aseptic techniques, microscopy and molecular biology assays
  • Assist with department operations as requested (e.g. filing reports, technical documents)
  • Comply with required Quality procedures including maintenance of a signed bound laboratory note book
  • Collect data and perform data analysis
  • Increase knowledge of laboratory techniques and products
  • Learn to troubleshoot experiments and identify abnormal or unexpected trends in data
  • Assist with general lab duties as requested (e.g. inventory of supplies, waste disposal, safety measures)
  • Present experimental results at relevant meetings



  • BSc in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related relevant area
  • 0-2 years of laboratory experience in a field related to cell biology techniques
  • Skilled in wide range of laboratory techniques and instrumentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present clear, precise summaries of scientific data
  • Self-motivated, organized with excellent independent troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to understand and use new instrumentation
