The Wheatstone Project
The Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project is one of Australia’s largest resource projects. Located at Ashburton North, 12 kilometres west of Onslow in Western Australia, The initial phase of the project will consist of two liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum along with a domestic gas plant.
Bechtel is one of the world’s premier engineering, construction, and project management companies. Bechtel has been contracted to perform engineering, procurement, construction, and startup of the LNG plant. Work is being performed in Onslow, Western Australia; Perth, Western Australia; Houston, Texas; and in module yards in Southeast Asia.
