  1. MISSION:

 

To provide highly accurate and timely cost (ICP) estimates and cost (ICP) as well as value-added information for continued improvements to Company’s profitability.  Also to provide support to Operations and to our Marketing customers.  

                 

  1. FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepare feasibility and program/MAF/NPDR cost estimates for new launches and promotional items, including multiple packaging options and revisions, throughout the new product development process.
  • Work closely on a regular basis, with Marketing, Packaging, Purchasing, Planning, Sanford, and R&D.
  • Work closely with Sanford to determine appropriate production lines, WIP staging, and labor estimates.  Understand how certain packaging options affect labor/WIP staging .
  • Along with Sanford, compare actual ICP to final estimates.  Identify, investigate, and understand variances in excess of the +/- 2% threshold and communicate to Marketing, Finance, Sr. Mgt., etc.
  • Field Marketing and Finance questions related to costing and cogs.  Involves research and investigation of issues, add-hoc analysis, coordination with other functional departments and etc. 
  • Prepare special projects as requested by Marketing, Finance, Sr., Commercial and/or Operations Mgt. 
  • Support Commercial Finance during Plan/LE.  Provide ICP or estimated costs for sku’s in unit forecast.   Coordinate and/or provide explanations of variances vs. Plan, LE or prior year, as applicable.
  • Work with Purchasing & Packaging to develop/streamline processes, facilitate information flow, and improve communication across functional departments.
  • Utilize and incorporate all available system resources in daily work process (i.e., Webplan, Oracle, etc.).  Find new ways to improve and automate the current excel/manual process.

            Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree             

 

            Experience Requirements

  • 1- 3 years
  • Consumer products experience – Business, Finance or Operations background
