The main responsibilities of this position include to:

  • Make recommendations for premium connection selection, material selection and general well design based on data supplied by customers.
  • Prepare technical proposal for customer presentations and respond to commercial bids, ensuring all orders meet quality standards set forth by our Company and our customer
  • Act as an intermediary between Tenaris mills and customer representatives to clarify technical queries before production and resolve quality claims after delivery.
  • Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of Tenaris products and the applications in which they are used by Tenaris customers (line pipe industry, products & specifications) to be able to answer technical queries from OCTG customers,
  • Build technical relationships with customers and industry stakeholders, and support/lead Tenaris development initiatives


Ideally, the successful candidate will have

  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within the oil & gas industry
  • A post-secondary Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
  • Previous experience that includes drilling, steel pipe manufacturing or energy consulting is asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; Enjoy meeting new people and effectively network to create/maintain lasting relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of attention to detail and have excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including an intermediate level of Excel
  • Experience with standard well design software or FEA tools is considered a strong asset
