DECOR PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE SPECIALIST
Reports to: Assistant Department Manager, Department Manager
The Product Knowledge Specialist is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service through expert knowledge and leadership of the products within their division. The PK Specialist will train others and be an active resource for staff regarding the products in their division along with creating working product knowledge binders and boards for total site product knowledge. The PK Specialist will be responsible for upholding & leading the store team on division visual standards through morning meetings, on the floor training labs and closing walk thru’s. The Specialist should have a full understanding of the Terrain aesthetic and customer base. The Specialist will be an active participant in creating and holding workshops and special events in their area of expertise. The Specialist will apply specialized knowledge to develop creative, innovative ways to drive sales for their area of expertise through many ways including one-on-one coaching with team members to ensure service is at its highest caliber. The Specialist will meet or exceed sales goals through direct sales to customers, support to staff, and partnerships across multiple departments. He or she will work closely with the Department Manager, Receiving Team and Visual Team to ensure that department standards are met. They should be self-motivated and effective problem solvers. The Specialist must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends.
