Where you fit in:
The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the ongoing support of ecommerce technology stack hosted on Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities include the installation, configuration and maintenance of the middleware infrastructure and its integration with business applications and supporting processes. This position will work closely, in a DevOps capacity, with other technical and development teams to plan new releases; participate in project design phases to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions; and to assist with incident and problem management. The Site Reliability Engineer is also responsible for the operational support and proactive maintenance of internal and client-facing “cloud” infrastructure. Automating and documenting operational procedures and processes is a key responsibility of this role.
The Site Reliability Engineer will support and maintain multiple middleware applications and web sites. Duties include producing meaningful reports and metrics, implementing software updates, troubleshooting integration and connectivity incidents and proactively managing capacity and performance. The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring that an integrated credit card processing architecture continues to meet or exceed performance objectives and service levels.
The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining and ensuring strict adherence to security and compliance controls such as PCI-DSS.
This role will help ensure that solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications.
