The successful candidate will work on the adult inpatient psychiatric unit at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Primary responsibilities will include completion of psychosocial assessments, involvement of patients in the development of individualized discharge plans, collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and referrals to identified treatment and support services in the behavioral health system.
Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary for timely referrals and documentation in the medical record. Must have working knowledge of psychiatric disorders as they relate to treatment and discharge planning

Must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work with at least 2 years of post-graduate work in an inpatient, adult psychiatric services.
LCSW-C preferred., will consider LGSW
Works in patient care areas where there are no physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, temperature and the like
