Responsible for providing supervision and operations support to Center for Addiction and Pregnancy. Services the needs of the patient population through educational programs, care management, therapeutic programs, seminars and advocacy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develops programs to meet the needs of the patient population. Ensures program operates in a smooth and orderly manner according to the department, Medical Center, and all appropriate regulatory agency guidelines.
Develops, trains and manages assigned personnel. Makes decisions concerning employment, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and terminations.
Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of program policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to management regarding changes and enhancements.
Supervises all daily program operations. Participates in preparation of drafts and other fiscal documents. Prepares various reports for outside federal/state agencies and management. Attends and participates in various meetings and committee, both internally and with outside community and state agencies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, nursing or closely related mental health field and two years of previous experience.
Education: Master's degree
License: LCPC or LCADC and Maryland Board Approved Drug and Alcohol Supervisor
Required Physical, Mental, and Visual Abilities
Work requires occasionally reaching and grasping objects.
Work requires occasionally using a keyboard to interact with computer system.
Work requires proofreading and /or reviewing documents.
Day Shift, Full Time (40 hours) 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Work Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.
