Position is in our mobile treatment/assertive community treatment (ACT) program. Candidate, in addition to meeting the below qualifications, is required to perform responsibilities in private residence, shelters, group homes and other community settings.
Provides psychotherapy to patients both on an individual and group basis, as needed working with Adults with severe mental illness. Will also be responsible for providing some case management services for caseload.
Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures as well as knowledge of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric patients as acquired through educational preparation and 6 months to one year of psychiatric therapy experience in a clinical setting.
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, mental health or a related discipline required. Doctoral degree in a related discipline preferred.
Two to three years of related experience.

Must have a high level of analytical ability necessary to gather and interpret data in relation to patient evaluation and ongoing treatment. Must be able to develop treatment plans and monitor ongoing treatment of patient progress. Must have good interpersonal skills necessary to provide counseling and treatments needed to patients as well as regular contact with patient’s physician, social work personnel and other health care and mental health providers. Provides direct patient care at a percentage of work time established by the program.
Required Licensure, Certification:
Licensure in accordance with discipline such as Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW-C),
Certification, etc. Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Clinical Counselor – Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Nurse Psychotherapist (APRN/PMH) and/or a licensed psychologist (PhD/PsyD)
Requires ability to stand, sit, read and write for extended periods of time. Possible exposure to communicable diseases with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed. Exposure to patients with the potential for verbal or physical aggression with little likelihood of harm if established clinical precautions are followed.
