Our production is mainly devoted to the manufature and sale of gray Portland cement, mortar, premixed concrete, concrete blocks, plaster, aggregates and other construction materials.
Develops and implements programs to ensure environmental compliance with applicable state, federal, local and permitting requirements. Identifies environmental impacts of the sites and develops strategy to reduce overall environmental impact of the operations. Develops community environmental awareness programs and represents GCC in public forums.
Manages environmental project activities including scheduling, tracking, and planning for environmental assessments, site investigations, and remedial action plans.
Coordinates the company sustainability program and practices of the facility.
Develops compliance strategy(s) to meet regulatory requirements.
Tracks environmental compliance schedules and deadlines and ensures timely completion of requirements.
Prepares facility environmental reports to regulatory agencies and ensure timely submittal of those reports.
Analyzes, develops, and implements activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of remediation efforts.
Assesses the environmental risk of activities and advises team members of risk management strategies.
Develops and implements sampling and monitoring plans of regulated emissions.
Coordinate activities to certify compliance monitoring equipment.
Interprets data and observations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Evaluates current and proposed codes, standards, regulations, and guidelines to determine the impact on current and future programs and activities.
Prepares documentation for interaction with management’s and regulatory agencies.
Conducts critical environmental training for plant employees
Maintains Environmental Management System (EMS) and develops action plans to reduce environmental impacts.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and engineering trades
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering required.
- 5+ years environmental experience with air and water regulations, including NSPS, PSD/NSR, NESHAP, and Title V in a manufacturing environment.
- Master's Degree a plus.
- Direct experience with cement, lime, glass or paper industry a plus.
Strong communication ability, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multiple project deadlines
Public speaking and presentation skills
