Currently LifeLabs is seeking a Hematopathologist to join our growing multidisciplinary Medical Scientific Team. The successful candidate must be an experienced Hematopathologist with diverse diagnostic expertise in flow cytometry, morphology, hemoglobinopathy investigation, and immunohematology. Experience with and interest in leadership opportunities is considered an asset and strong interpersonal skills is essential. The successful candidate will work alongside two other hematopathologists performing clinical work, client consultations, and leading quality improvement projects, as well as participating in our quality management program and residency training rotations. Since we have an excellent opportunity to teach and supervise hematopathology residents, experience with resident mentorship is a priority. Participation in various leadership roles is also encouraged.
Minimum requirements include MD degree, certification in hematological pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent and eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The successful candidate will join a collegial Medical Scientific Department with a strong culture of leadership and collaboration. Prior experience in medical education and/or residency training is also a priority ideal.
The ideal start date for this position is April 2017.
